Welcome

Stefan.pngThe Church of England Parish of St. James, Christleton in the Diocese of Chester seeks to serve the communities of Christleton, Cotton Abbotts, Cotton Edmonds, Littleton, and Rowton. It has been doing this, serving local people, for a very long time - a church on the site of St. James was likely in existence since before the 7th Century. The current one was designed by the distinguished Victorian Architect William Butterfield and was completed in 1876.

Today, we seek especially to be a loving, Spirit led, and faithful community of people. A community that makes Jesus Christ known, and is welcoming, compassionate, forgiving, inclusive, and deeply listens to the other person. A community whose faith is witnessed through its worship, learning, and acts of service.

This website shares with you something of the ways in which we are seeking to be this loving, Spirit led, and faithful community. We hope you find it useful, and would welcome the opportunity to meet with you and share life in all its fullness.

With my love and prayers,

Stefan, Rector.
